With the help of some great friends, Tilda Virtual Services now has a new home. As I sat there today in my new office, looking around, I couldn’t help but think ‘how the heck did I get here’. While the growth of my business has been quicker then I initially planned for, I am fortunate to have the love and support of my family. Particularly my husband Lincoln.
My vision for Tilda Virtual Services has remained the same. Moving into an office space gives me more visibility in the local market and it gives me that much needed separation between home and my business. I’ve updated my marketing and business plans, and I’m meeting with my business coach tomorrow to strategise some more.
Moving into an office space comes with risk. I doubt I’ve gotten much sleep since I first saw it and things started happening but I feel that this is the next step for us. Without risking a little two years ago, I wouldn’t even be here. I took a flying leap, became a business owner and learnt as much as I could about my new industry. The risk for my family and I was quite huge and scary. Much like the risk we are taking moving into an office space. I have the same sick, scared, excited feeling as I did back then and the butterflies tell me that I am making the right decision here.
Have you taken a risk lately? While moving into an office space isn’t for everyone, I’m sure there is something you could be doing right now for your business that makes your butterflies active too.

Wow, I am soooooo excited for you. I only started my VA practice a few weeks ago so that is my most recent risk.
I’m so glad to know that this business will be a success and you are living proof of that. Congratulations!
Monique
Congratulations Kylie – that is very exciting and I wish you great success in your new office. And I’m not convinced it will last you five years at the rate you are going!
I haven’t taken any major risks lately. The most recent one was presenting some client work in an unusual way, knowing they may have hated it and thus leaving me to convert it to a conventional presentation. But as it turned out, they loved it and it was a much easier way for me to get the job done, so a risk worth taking. And one that has lead to new ideas!
I like the sound of the unusal presentation Tash, I’m so glad the client was happy with your presentation. I find stepping out of my comfort zone to be scary but satisfying too.
Thanks for stopping by Monique and best of luck with your new business. You are at an exciting time!
Woohoo! Well done! I knew you would do it eventually and yes, from personal experience, it does help to separate home and work. It is a scary, exciting, thrilling time but you have so made the right move. The only way is up from here.
Once again, congratulations!
